Your new role
We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Digital Services team as Senior Security Administrator on a full time, ongoing basis. Reporting to the Manager – Digital Services, the role will ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of IBAC’s Digital Technology infrastructure, client and peripheral devices, helping to protect IBAC’s technology environments from emerging cyber threats.
Duties include:
- Manage, maintain and enhance the security stack in accordance with IBAC security policies and governance standards.
- Review technology environment and apply recommendations from ACSC Information Security Manual (ISM), Victorian Protective Data Security Framework (VPDSF) and other related security-by-design frameworks.
- Lead improvements to IBAC IT Infrastructure security posture including Identity security uplift, next-gen firewalls, VPN, Endpoint protection (EDR & MDR) and SIEM to address ever-changing cybersecurity threat landscape.
- Contribute to the development of organisation’s network security standards and implementation of cyber security program in conjunction with the Cyber Security Officer, Manager Digital Services, and Director Information and Digital Services.
- Analyse network and security events utilising SIEM to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement in network performance, security posture and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, networking, IT, cyber security or a related discipline is essential.
- Current industry certification (maximum 2 years old) and proven experience in IT systems, networks and security administration is required.
- Demonstrated experience in applying and maintaining governance and compliance, specifically within the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Victorian Protective Data Security Framework (VPDSF).
- Specialist skills in managing and maintaining security devices and appliances including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions, threat hunting and identification of indicators of compromise and attacks.
