Who we are looking for

Join our dynamic Asset Creation team where you'll have the independence to manage your own projects, collaborate widely, and be well supported by the team and greater organisation.

We have two full-time ongoing positions available for Project Manager/ Engineer's Asset Creation, with a generous salary between $91,529 and $114,283 p.a. plus superannuation.

The positions salary range reflects varying levels of skills, experience, knowledge, and capability that applicants may bring to the role.

Appointments within the range will be based on the successful applicant's demonstrated expertise, qualifications and ability to perform the role, with middle to upper range appointments intended for candidates who can manage more complex responsibilities with a greater deal of autonomy.

What you'll be doing

On a day-to-day basis, you'll:

* Manage a portfolio of complex operational projects and programs through design, approvals, tender, contract administration, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
* Support the Manager Capital Projects in the preparation, management, administration and successful delivery of capital projects.
* Investigate, survey, provide design input and supervise engineering water and sewerage projects.
* Collaborate with other Wannon Water teams and stakeholders to optimise and standardise project delivery processes and practices.
* Use your own judgement when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders, and make decisions according to Wannon Water policy and industry best practice procedures to ensure projects are delivered safely, to a high quality, on time, and on budget.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you'll bring

* A general understanding of contract documentation and procedures.
* A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Project Management or Contract Management is preferred but not essential. Equivalent experience in the water and sewerage industry will also be considered.
* An ability to research, estimate, specify, create, coordinate, report, evaluate tenders, innovate, engage, assess, contribute, monitor and work as part of a high performing and well-established team.
* Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, consultative skills and excellent time management.
* A high level of attention to detail, and the ability to follow engineering and contract administration processes.
