Lineworker Job Description
Job Summary:
This role involves constructing and maintaining transmission and distribution networks, ensuring a safe and reliable electricity supply to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Attending and rectifying faults in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to customers.
* Completing allocated construction and maintenance work to Western Power standards, ensuring consistent quality across the network.
* Maintaining and enhancing core line skills with changing industry standards and business requirements.
* Participating in pre-job planning to identify risks, hazards, and task variables and control measures to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable job completion.
* Working in various environmental conditions to complete jobs subject to adequate safety and control measures being implemented.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in ESI - Power System Distribution Overhead or equivalent.
* Valid WA 'HR' Class Drivers Licence.
* Demonstrated industry experience in the construction and maintenance of the distribution electricity network.
* HOU and LOU Switching is highly regarded but not essential.
