Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant qualification and/or previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, aged care or similar industry is desirable, but not mandatory
- Availability to work a range of shifts, including weekends, holidays and morning or afternoons
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety principles is required
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
- Commitment to customer service and quality aged care
- Ability to pass a police check if successful in application
- Candidates with any valid Australian work rights will be considered
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and service of meals to elderly residents
- Cleaning of service areas and dining room set up
- Adhering to workplace health and safety and safety standards
- Washing dishes in the kitchen and prepping ingredients
- Table setting and aiding with plating of meals
- Assisting the Chefs as required in day‑to‑day tasks
