About the Role:
A wonderful opportunity awaits a caring and dedicated Primary teacher to join a small, caring and well-resourced Catholic Primary School near Caroline Springs starting in Term 2, 2025. Offering a full-time position, within a small teaching team in Grade 3, the school is dedicated to collegial planning and offering support to all new teachers joining the school. Ample support from dedicated wellbeing and lead teachers to assist, a wonderful opportunity to be part of a caring school environment that always has students at its centre.
Key Duties:
* Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum.
* Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
* Design and administer assessments to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
* Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
* Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
* Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.
Skills & Experience:
* Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
* Current VIT registration or just applied.
* Relevant Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree).
* Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary in Australia.
* Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
* An understanding and support of Catholic values.
