Are you an experienced Authorised Nurse Immuniser looking for versatile, meaningful work supporting the health and wellbeing of young people?
We are seeking motivated and professional Nurse Immunisers to join our School-Based Immunisation Program on a casual basis.
About the Role
As part of our immunisation team, you will assist with delivering scheduled vaccinations to school-aged students. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy fast-paced environments, value teamwork, and are committed to safe, high-quality immunisation practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and administering vaccines in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Ensuring safe vaccination practices, documentation, and cold-chain compliance
- Engaging effectively with students and school staff
- Supporting clinic setup, flow management, and post-vaccination monitoring
- Maintaining a positive, supportive, and professional team environment
About You
You will be a great fit if you have:
- Current Nurse Immuniser Authorisation issued by the Department of Health, Tasmania
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Strong clinical knowledge of immunisation and public health
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with young people
- Flexibility to work during school hours throughout the year
