A major bank in Sydney is seeking a Principal Devops Engineer with SQL and idealluy postgres experience to join their automation team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop and building consistent infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages like PowerShell and Ruby.
* automate provisioning and lifecycle management of infrastructure and platforms
* Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and enterprise automation toolchains
* Work within regulated, large-scale financial services environments, ensuring stability, security, and compliance
Key Skills / Experience:
* Strong hands-on experience building and managing on-prem infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Ruby
* Strong experience with Windows Server and enterprise on-prem environments
* Proven experience working in large enterprise or financial services environment
* Solid experience with CI/CD and automation toolchains including Chef, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, and Artifactory
* Experience with SQL Server, and ideally PostgreSQL for automation as a platform and implementation of patterns
* Understanding of Azure and/or AWS, especially hybrid automation patterns
