Details: The Senior Construction Surveillance Officer is a key role within the Transport and Civil Infrastructure Group and the Construction Surveillance team. The team is responsible for coordination and management of the various construction interfaces associated with the design and delivery of the Project.
The role provides leadership for package-level surveillance and audit activities across assigned infrastructure delivery projects and supports the development of surveillance processes and continuous improvement across the portfolio. The position reports to the Construction Surveillance Lead and works closely with project teams, advisors and external stakeholders (e.g. Project Co/Principal Contractors, Independent Certifier, National Capital Authority, Technical Advisors and relevant ACT Government agencies).

Eligibility/Other requirements:
Mandatory:
* Hold a relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture or Project Management or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia; or
* Hold a relevant building degree; or
* Have significant building or Infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.
Highly Desirable:
* Current C class driver's license.
* Good working knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements in construction.
* Experience in the delivery of transportation assets and infrastructure within an urban environment.
* Knowledge of the ACT Government environment, including understanding of legislation as it applies to this project, particularly WHS.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
