Large Federal Government department are seeking APS6 Revenue Analyst

Large Federal Government Department is looking for a APS5/6 Revenue Analyst on S26 transfer or 12 month non-ongoing
**Your new role**
Working within the External Budgets and Revenue branch, you will support the Revenue Manager with budgeting, reporting, debt management, policy advise and analytics. You will be required to deliver the below duties in line with set time frames and report back to the relevant supervisor.
- Assist with the formulation of policy through the revenue costing process: build, review and assure revenue models for budget submission (PBS, PAES, and MYEFO etc). This includes providing revenue related advice as required.
- Update and enhance analytical tools, templates and models to minimise/eliminate errors and speedup task timelines.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with central agencies and key internal stakeholders, including liaising with senior level officers to negotiate and achieve outcomes for the Department.
- Review Estimate Memorandum and provide advice and assessment on the implications.
- Prepare draft reports, briefing papers, speeches, Ministerial correspondence and discussion papers for review by Executive level employees.
- Work with a level of independence, under broad direction, with a concurrent need to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes.
- Develop and maintain a working understanding of relevant legislation that support financial elements related to revenue activities.
- Consider and effectively manage competing priorities.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Budgeting and forecasting experience
- Revenue and management accounting experience using SAP
- Understanding of PBS and CBMS
- Review, analyse and report on revenue performance
- NPP costing and budget process understanding is essential
- Accounting, finance, economics or statistics qualification or relevant experience
- Excel, Tera data and R experience is highly desirable
- Australian citizenship and baseline security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain
