The Role
Our Newcastle Wills & Estates team are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with experienced professionals and further develop your legal secretarial skills.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Assisting with all aspects of Wills and Estates; including preparation of Wills, EPOAs and associated estate planning documents, authorities and distribution statements (when required).
Word processing / typing and collating correspondence and other documents, amending and formatting documents quickly and accurately.
Digital dictation (when required).
Attending to file opening, preparing costs letters, attending to archiving of files once completed.
Generating trust and office receipts and cheque requisition.
Effectively managing and maintaining calendars, monitoring client timeframes and providing reminders as necessary.

What You Offer
The successful candidate will have strong experience as a legal secretary role, preferably within a Wills & Estates practice. You will have a demonstrated understanding of legal terminology, principles, procedures and forms.
You will be a self-starter and won't be afraid to show initiative. You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
