ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to join the Finance Division in a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting to the Revenue Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of patient billing, receipting, debt collection, and revenue management processes. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the production and management of patient accounts and billing documentation. Handling revenue enquiries and providing exceptional service to patients and internal stakeholders. Managing aged debtors, coordinating payment plans, and liaising with debt collection agencies and insurance companies. Processing billing, receipting, refunds, and reconciliation tasks using financial systems such as PBRC, Hosbil, and Cerner. Preparing invoices for a range of services, including accommodation, dialysis, outpatient, and compensable claims. Managing Medicare, DVA, health fund, and overseas patient claims efficiently and accurately. Supporting end-of-month reporting, adjustment journals, and financial system updates. Contributing to continuous improvement of revenue processes and maintaining a high standard of customer service. This role offers exposure to a diverse and fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. ABOUT YOU You will be a motivated administrative professional with excellent organisational skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. Ideally, you will bring: Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) in an administrative, billing, or accounts receivable role, preferably within a healthcare or large complex environment. Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skills. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Sound communication skills, both verbal and written, to manage internal and external stakeholder queries effectively. Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and financial systems such as Hosbil, Cerner, PBRC, or similar platforms. A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure. HSC or equivalent qualification as a minimum requirement.
