About The Role
* Continuously improve the local implementation of the department's Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System (HSWMS) to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
* Provide support to the nominated schools in health and safety including risk management, incident reporting and review, and the rehabilitation and return‐to‐work coordination of ill or injured staff.
Responsibilities
* Providing clear and timely advice to the leadership and staff on health, safety and wellbeing.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety and wellbeing policies, procedures and systems.
* Coordinate audits, inspections, emergency preparedness and hazard management activities.
* Support staff wellbeing, rehabilitation and return‐to‐work processes.
* Monitor WHS data, identify risks and recommend improvement strategies.
* Deliver training, inductions and awareness programmes to promote a positive safety culture.
* Assist with incident management, reporting and critical incident response.
* Provide reports, recommendations and fire safety compliance support to school leadership and committees.
* Ability to work independently with other teams to strengthen local practice.
