Bakers Delight Winston Hills is seeking motivated, enthusiastic and energetic Qualified Baker to join the Bakery.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing a variety of bakery products as per menu.
* Ensuring baking equipment and workspaces are clean and fully operational before production begins, complying with Bakers Delight health and safety standards.
* Inspecting the freshness and quality of ingredients and accurately measuring quantities for baking.
* Handling dough preparation through mixing, kneading, fermenting, dividing, shaping, and moulding bakery products.
* Carefully observing oven temperatures and checking baked goods for quality and consistency to determine optimal baking times.
* Managing the complete baking process, including shaping, loading into ovens, baking, unloading, removing products from trays, and properly cooling breads, rolls, and pastries.
* Finishing products by glazing buns and pastries, and applying decorative cream or icing to cakes and sweet treats.
* Operating bakery-specific equipment used to shape dough and cut biscuit products.
* Regularly cleaning, maintaining, and preparing baking trays, tins, and related baking equipment for continuous use.
To be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following selection criteria.
* Ability to be available for work across the 7 days of the week, which may include evening work and some public holidays (starting times can be as early as 4am)
* Work in a fast-paced team environment and communicate with customers and staff.
* Portray a positive attitude
* Complete duties as directed by your manager/supervisor
* Abide by company policies and procedures at all times
* Train, develop and supervise apprentices and staff in the Bakery Department
* Have an eye for detail
Applicants with Minimum of 1 year experience or Certificate III in Baking, as a Baker will have advantage for this role.
