About the Role

Reporting to the Mobilisation and Recruitment Lead and working closely with our mobilisation and recruitment team, this hands-on role will oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, providing comprehensive support to our construction project teams.

- Bring your creativity, personality, and commitment to candidate care to this permanent recruitment opportunity

- Engage in strategic white-collar recruitment across various SIMPEC projects (WA & East Coast).

- Handle high-volume blue-collar recruitment.

- Based at our Applecross Head Office.

Responsibilities

- Proactively source and attract high-calibre white-collar professionals in sectors like Resources, Civil, Renewable Energy, and Infrastructure, using industry knowledge, networks, and targeted recruitment techniques.

- Conduct in-depth recruitment briefings with hiring managers to understand role requirements and offer tailored recruitment strategies.

- Support the development of talent acquisition strategies and employer branding, taking ownership of sourcing campaigns and engaging top talent to meet business needs.

- Build professional, productive relationships with the team and relevant stakeholders, including candidates and employees.

- Coordinate with the mobilisation team to ensure candidate communications and documentation are timely and accurate, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.

- Create job advertisements for various platforms, including social media, to effectively market the business.

- Effectively communicate the business value to job applicants, providing comprehensive overviews of roles, projects, and scopes of work.

- Review, screen, shortlist, and interview applicants.

- Prepare weekly recruitment and mobilisation dashboards, reports, and analytics.

- Interpret recruitment data to plan talent pooling and proactive recruitment actions well in advance.

- Understand employment rates and conditions applicable to each project site.

- Review documentation for accuracy, maintain recruitment databases (LiveHire), and ensure compliance protocols are followed.

- Stay updated on market trends, new technologies, and sourcing methods.

Skills and Experience

- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, recruiting for professional roles in sectors like Resources, Civil, Renewable Energy, and Infrastructure.

- Lead by example in health and safety; promote and comply with safety initiatives and procedures.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders.

- Operate ethically and confidentially, with understanding of HR and industrial relations legislation and enterprise agreements.

- Proficiency with recruitment management systems (preferably LiveHire) and Microsoft Office, especially SharePoint and Excel.

- Strong time-management skills, capable of multitasking and managing priorities calmly under pressure.

- Confident decision-maker, ownership of tasks, and problem-solving skills.

- Adaptable, innovative, with the ability to think quickly and analyze effectively.
