The ANZICS CTG Executive Officer is a senior operational and strategic role responsible for enabling the delivery of the ANZICS CTG research agenda and strategic priorities. Working at the interface of ANZICS, hospitals, and academic partners, the Executive Officer coordinates a complex, distributed research ecosystem and supports the effective implementation of the ANZIC CTG programs and initiatives. the CTG is comprised of a number of sub-committees including the ANZICS Paediatric Study Group (PSG).
Role and KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement the CTG strategic plan, track progress, and support delivery of priority research and capacity‐building initiatives.
Strengthen engagement and partnerships across the CTG network and expand research participation among member ICUs.
Manage CTG governance, including project and manuscript review, committee support, and strategic reporting.
Build research capability, support collaboration, and promote the impact of CTG research outputs.
Coordinate meetings and events, oversee systems and communications, and manage CTG membership processes.
Manage budgeting and financial reporting and contribute to sustainable funding strategies.
Lead communications to engage stakeholders and enhance the CTG's national and international profile.
Qualification Required
Undergraduate degree in health or health-related science.
Selection Criteria
Experience working within clinical research, clinical trials, or academic health environments
Proven expertise in management, program management, or project management, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes against organisational or strategic objectives
Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines
High-level written and verbal communication skills, with ability to independently prepare reports, briefing documents.
Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of building effective relationships across diverse professional groups.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic initiatives while ensuring effective operational delivery.
Experience working within governance frameworks, supporting committees, boards, or structured decision-making processes.
Experience in budget management, financial reporting, or contributing to resource planning.
Proficient knowledge of digital platforms (including Microsoft Office suite), and managing information systems or databases.
