Working as a Chef at Guardian Croydon Park puts you at the centre of supporting the care and education of young children. You will be creating menus full of delicious and nutritious snacks and meals for children and their Educators, as well as being part of the learning experience when they help you prepare food, forage from the garden and learn about what they're eating.
The Opportunity
* Develop a seasonal, nutritious menu that respects individual requirements regarding medical conditions, food preferences, and cultural considerations and ensures children's health and wellbeing.
* Ensure children's health and wellbeing.
* Building strong relationships with the children, Educators, families and the Centre community.
* Ensure best practice food safety and hygienic standards are always upheld.
To be considered, you will have:
* Food Safety Supervisor certificate or Food Handling
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or working towards is desirable.
* An awareness of your personal responsibilities under the current Child Protection Laws.
* Current Working with Children's Check (for SA)

Our Centre
Our centre is custom-designed to offer nurturing and stimulating environments for children from birth to six years. Croydon Park features expansive and light-filled play spaces sourced with Reggio-Emilia inspired materials and resources. Large windows connect the children with their community and educators who lead structured and unstructured learning experiences which develop each child's natural skills and curiosity.
Located off Torrens Road, Croydon Park is easily accessible with ample street parking, public transport and shopping precincts.
