Workshop Operations Leader
Role Overview
The successful candidate will oversee workshop performance, vehicle and equipment maintenance, cost management, quality control, and compliance. They will ensure the workshop operates safely and efficiently, meets customer expectations, and fosters staff development while maximising profitability and promoting continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily activities of workshop employees to ensure safe work practices.
* Maintain staff performance by coaching, counselling, and disciplining as necessary.
* Demonstrate exemplary safety leadership behaviours and promote HSES & QA programs.
* Optimise workflow for minimal vehicle downtime and maximum workshop productivity.
* Anticipate customer needs and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
* 5 years' experience in a workshop management role within Fleet or Retail.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Inventory management, procurement, and stock control expertise.
* Ability to be a team player, open, and honest with excellent customer service skills.
