Job Title: Environment, Health and Safety Advisor
The role is responsible for ensuring the implementation of a safe and healthy work environment across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations to advise on environment, safety and health matters.
* Oversee inductions and training programs for all personnel, visitors and contractors at relevant sites.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, plans, procedures and processes related to environment, safety and health.
* Support and facilitate the application of risk assessment and control processes at the working level.
* Proactively respond to environment, health and safety issues before and as they arise, including investigations into incidents or occurrences.
* Promote and coordinate program engagement processes and initiatives to deliver the company's Environment, Health and Safety Plan.
* Advise, participate in and support internal and external audit programs and inspections.
* Provide training and guidance on environment, health and safety topics.
* Schedule and conduct reviews and audits of jurisdiction and subcontractor activities to verify compliance.
* Manage the compilation and reporting of jurisdiction performance metrics.
* Assist with the implementation and development of emergency response support procedures.
Requirements include a University Degree in Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline, or equivalent experience. The role also requires Certificate IV (or higher) in Work Health and Safety, Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (desirable), 'C' Class Driver's license, Senior First Aid certificate, NV1 Security Clearance, technical writing skills, demonstrated experience consulting with stakeholders in a matrix environment, and experience working in an Aviation Safety environment.
