Overview
Steamatic is a national leader in disaster recovery and restoration services, delivering solutions that save property and restore lives. We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead the Tasmania branch. Workforce Extensions Geelong has been engaged to manage the recruitment process on behalf of Steamatic.
Responsibilities
* Full accountability and management of the entire branch operations, including the smooth flow of jobs, staff management, material and tools management, vehicle fleet management, contractor compliance, coordination with the administration team, industry relationships, budgets, and procurement of supplies in a timely manner.
* Lead, coach, train and develop the operational team to ensure the right skills are available at all times for a smooth flow of jobs.
* Develop Branch operations so operations run productively and customer needs are met with self-sufficiency.
* Build a quality management system in the branch that is compliant and fully satisfies customer needs in a timely manner.
* Drive new business development and manage key insurance and commercial relationships.
* Ensure operational compliance, service standards, and WHS obligations in coordination with the team based in Geelong & Gippsland (VIC).
* End-to-end project management.
* Implement business plans and growth strategies aligned to company objectives.
* Work closely with senior management and other Steamatic branches in Geelong & Gippsland.
* Remain flexible to meet restoration industry demands, including weekend availability, participation in on-call rosters, and involvement in major loss or disaster events.
About You
You are a commercially minded leader who thrives in fast-paced, service-driven environments and is comfortable balancing financial accountability with people leadership.
* Proven experience in branch operations or business management.
* Strong financial acumen, including budget and P&L management (ideally).
* Experience leading teams across the full horizon of operations.
* Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships (insurance, loss adjusters, commercial clients).
* High levels of initiative, accountability, and decision-making capability.
* Strong communication, reporting, coordination and organisational skills.
* Experience in restoration, insurance services, construction, or trade-based environments will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
