The Residential Service Assistant works in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve person-focused quality care.

Selection Criteria
- Current Health Service Assistant Certificate III in Aged Care – CHC30208, CHC30102 or a course deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrated understanding of delegation and ability to help develop and work within a plan of care.
- Demonstrated ability to assist and work with a range of people residing in an independent/low care living environment in a respectful discrete and caring way with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Through the use of information technology, written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to identify and resolve conflict situations by managing own emotional responses and interacting with others in a personable and skilled manner.
- Evidence of participation in personal development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills.
