About Hannah Place



Hannah Place offers safe and flexible housing for young women (up to 18 years old) who are pregnant or parenting and under the care of the Chief Executive.



We provide on-site accommodation and support to help them with parenting, pregnancy, building life skills, personal growth, and becoming more independent.



About your new role



You will support young women who are pregnant or parenting, helping them build everyday living skills, improve their wellbeing, and strengthen their relationships with their children and families.



You will work closely with the Senior Practitioner to follow each young person’s care plan, and help create safe, positive connections between mothers and their children, while being mindful of how trauma can affect children’s development.



What you will be doing on daily basis

* Work closely with the team to make sure the Hannah Place program runs smoothly and supports young women effectively.
* Help young women and their children with everyday needs, like attending appointments and building strong family bonds.
* Follow and support each person's case plan, helping them reach their goals and stay on track.
* Keep clear and up-to-date records, including case notes and updates for DCP (Department for Child Protection).
* Build strong connections with other services and attend meetings with other agencies to make sure each young woman gets the best support possible.



What you will bring

* Community Services Level 4 or higher
* Experience working with vulnerable young people with complex needs and an understanding of the impact of childhood trauma, attachment theory, child and adolescent development
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Valid Working with Children check (WWCC)
* Senior First Aid with CPR Certificate
* Valid Australian Drivers Licence
* Be prepared to undertake a psychological assessment, if required



Special condition

* Ability to work a rotating roster, including passive overnights and weekends.
