Sector Manager - Infrastructure Consulting | Asset & Project Management

Our client is a highly regarded consulting firm specialising in infrastructure, asset and project management. They are seeking an experienced Sector Manager to lead growth, delivery, and people performance across their Infrastructure portfolio in South Australia.
This opportunity is well suited to a senior leader from an asset-owner / end-user environment (such as transport, utilities, energy, defence or social infrastructure), or an established consultant, who is looking to apply deep infrastructure experience in a consulting setting.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of an infrastructure-focused sector and play a key role in shaping its future growth and delivery success. You will:
* Lead sector strategy, business development and revenue delivery, progressing qualified opportunities through to engagement
* Provide governance and oversight across infrastructure asset management engagements
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior infrastructure owners, operators and delivery partners
* Build, lead and develop a high-performing consulting team
* Collaborate with peer Sector Managers to achieve best-for-business outcomes
You will ensure opportunities are well-qualified, low risk, and aligned to successful delivery outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Growth & Clients
* Own the sector business development strategy and pipeline
* Lead capture planning, proposals and key account management
* Use asset-owner insight to design practical, high-value consulting solutions
Delivery & Governance
* Provide project and asset management governance across infrastructure programs
* Oversee risk, cost, schedule, change and quality
* Sponsor assurance gates and encourage disciplined delivery
People & Capability
* Build, coach and lead a high-performing infrastructure consulting team
* Recruit and develop future leaders and technical specialists
* Foster engagement, wellbeing and a strong delivery culture
Leadership & Contribution
* Participate in senior leadership and governance forums
* Contribute to tools, templates and intellectual property
* Drive consistency, continuous improvement and best-practice delivery
About You
You are a senior infrastructure leader with:
* A degree in engineering, asset management, business, project management or similar(postgraduate qualifications and certifications such as CAMA or PM desirable)
* 10+ years' experience delivering infrastructure projects and/or managing infrastructure assets (for eg. Universities, aged care facilities, hospitals, airports, ports)
* Background as an asset owner / end user or as a consultant working in infrastructure
* Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management capability
* Experience leading teams, programs or portfolios
* An interest in transitioning into, or further developing, a consulting career
* PR or Australian citizenship required to work in Australia
