We're seeking a qualified and experienced Plant Mechanic to join our Brickworks workshop in Horsley Park, NSW.
Reporting to the National Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation. This role is crucial in minimising downtime and maximising productivity across our operations.
Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic experience would be an advantage.
Duties include but are not limited to
• Perform repairs and maintenance of our plant equipment (CAT) in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Conduct fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and component replacements.
• Complete fabrication, welding repairs, and modifications as needed.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate service records and report any faults requiring further investigation.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment, following WHS procedures.
Success Requirements
• Qualified Plant Mechanic
• Strong mechanical aptitude for mechanical and electrical diagnosis.
• Experience in plant equipment maintenance (excavators, loaders, forklifts, etc.).
• Heavy Diesel Vehicle Mechanic qualification (desirable).
• Full driver license – Heavy Rigid / Heavy Combination license (desirable).
• Welding experience (MIG/TIG and Oxy) desirable.
• Experience with CAT and Volvo equipment (desirable).
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and problem-solving.
• Effective communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
