My client is the leader in providing professional surface finishes for the construction, landscaping, and engineering sectors and has a strong reputation in Victoria.
Your new role
As the Safety Officer, you will be the driving force behind the development, implementation, and management of safety programs within the organisation. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with regulations, promoting continuous improvement, and proactively mitigating risks.
Responsibilities include but not limited to
* Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure the implementation
* Manage incident investigations
* Establish and oversee safety training programs for employees.
* Maintain compliance with local, national, and international safety standards and regulations.
* Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures.
* Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics and reports
* Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
* Provide safety training to employees at all levels.
* Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills.
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends.
