Primary Teacher | The Assumption Catholic Primary School, Bathurst

12-Month Contract | Part-time (2 days per week)

Commencing Term Term 1, 2027

Salary ranging from $81,429 - $137,861 (pro-rata) + super

About the Role

The Assumption Catholic Primary School, Bathurst is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join the school community. As a teacher in a Catholic school, you will:

1. Support and enrich the sacramental, liturgical, and prayer life of the school while embedding Catholic teachings, values, and practices into your teaching and interactions.
2. Foster positive, nurturing relationships with students to support their spiritual, moral, and academic development.
3. Create a learner-centred, inclusive classroom environment aligned with curriculum policies and implement quality teaching strategies.
4. Use student assessment data to identify learning barriers and tailor support to enhance student growth and achievement.
5. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, contribute to the professional life of the school, and participate in ongoing faith and professional formation.
6. Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and the wider community to encourage student involvement in the life of the Church and community.

About You

We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

7. Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and NESA accreditation to teach in NSW.
8. Capacity to monitor and assess student learning data and to use this data to inform teaching for improved student learning
9. Demonstrate a commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities and a capacity to reflect on, evaluate and improve professional knowledge and practice in a professional learning team.
10. The desire to engage with and contribute to a Catholic learning organisation.
11. The ability to develop positive relationships in the classroom based on mutual respect, patience and understanding.
