The Reserve Bank of Australia is embarking on a Core Modernisation program which involves a major upgrade of core technology infrastructure. We currently have an opportunity for a Transition Specialist to join this program.
This role is solutions-oriented, and outcome based, requiring a balance of strategic direction and service management understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
Transition Planning and Management:
- Develop and implement a detailed transition plan in accordance with the CoreMod implementation timeframes.- Coordinate with stakeholders to define and deliver transition scope, objectives, and deliverables. These stakeholders span the program delivery teams, the Service Integration Partner, IT service teams, and the Organisational Change Management (OCM) team.- Drive the project forward by managing the delivery timeline, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with business outcomes.
Service Transition:
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical migration co-ordination, offering guidance and expertise to internal teams and external partners.- Oversee the transition of IT services, ensuring mínimal disruption and maintaining service quality.- Ensure all service management processes are adhered to during the transition.- Lead the development of Support Models in partnership with Service Owners and stakeholders as required for ICT services transitioning from project delivery into operations.- Oversee service validation and testing to ensure readiness for operational use.- Maintain a focus on outcome-based delivery, ensuring the successful completion of each phase of the project.- Work closely with the Operational Readiness and Organisational Change teams to ensure alignment to Program plans and activities.- Ensuring that all service management processes, such as ITIL, are followed during the transition- Provide guidance, support, and training on ITIL processes and best practices.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary liaison for all stakeholders, providing regular updates on transition progress to the program and RBA BAU operational teams.- Facilitate communication between technical teams, management, and external vendors.- Prepare and present transition status reports and documentation.
Post-Transition Support:
- Develop and implement a post-transition support plan.- Monitor the post-transition performance and address any issues promptly.- Conduct a post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
