Tank maintenance supervisor (corio)

Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to deliver safe, efficient and effective tank maintenance execution across all areas of the refinery.

• Develop tank maintenance execution scopes for isolation, cleaning and return to service activities.
• Drive increased maintenance execution efficiency by collaborating with refinery operations, asset and contractor work groups and ensuring that tank maintenance activities are appropriately planned, prepared and resourced.
• Oversee front line tank maintenance execution to ensure that works are progressed in accordance with planned milestones.
• Actively contribute to the development of the annual Tank Maintenance plan, tank schedules and resource and cost estimates.
• Maintain relevant tank repair records and history.
• Able to work within a team as well as self-motivated to achieve asset integrity and business goals.
• Be able to collaborate with a wide range of teams to ensure the safe, efficient and effective delivery of tank maintenance scopes.
• Actively participate in the Asset Integrity Continuous Improvement program.

Safety

• Ensure all activities are conducted and managed in accordance with AERO principles and agreed HSSE practices and procedure as outlined in the Geelong Refinery Management System.
• Drive site safety performance through front line supervision of tank maintenance contractor work groups and ensuring safe work practices are adopted and maintained.
• Shared responsibility for incident investigation following an incident.

Qualifications

• Recognised trade qualification with a minimum of five years trade experience.
• Minimum five years refinery maintenance experience preferred.
• Demonstrated maintenance supervision experience and track record in delivery that is on-time, within budget and meets quality standards.
• Be able to demonstrate thorough understanding of technical (process plant) risk management techniques and decision making to As Low as Reasonably Practicable.
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively utilise all available communication channels.
