Project Manager Position
We are seeking an experienced project manager to lead our team on a commercial building project.
The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in civil engineering, managing interphase with multiple trades, suppliers, and subcontractors through design, fabrication, and construction to expedite progress on the project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage interphase with multiple trades, suppliers, and subcontractors
* Prepare short-term look-ahead programs and provide input into the project schedule, status of works, and reporting requirements
* Maintain and update the contract program, including productivity and ensuring timely identification of any critical activities, potential delays, and mitigation of it
* Monitor and review project task financial outcomes, including overseeing project monthly forecasting and short-term cost controls to ensure project targets are optimised
* Provide daily support, team supervision, and feedback to field operations to produce high-quality project outcomes against company-set performance criteria
* Supervise daily contract administration requirements and collaborate in the negotiation and control of subcontractor and supply agreements
* Attend site meetings and have a strong focus on personal and team safety through our "Safety is My Way" initiative
Requirements:
* Personable and demonstrated experience as a project manager in a similar role within the commercial construction industry
* Developing and maintaining project schedules in Primavera/Primavera Cloud
* Leading resolution of design and design-related queries, being the link between consultants and contractors
* Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
* Leading implementation of a project quality management system
* A solid grasp of services, including coordination, installation, and commissioning
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
* Ability to demonstrate daily productivity and cost control skills and prior forecasting experience
* Experience in coordinating and/or running tool box meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions, and a demonstrated commitment to HSEQ practices
* Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree
