Join Vault Minerals as a Graduate Geologist to gain hands-on experience in mine operations within a dynamic gold mining company.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Undertake diamond core processing, including logging, mark-up and orientation, core cutting and sampling.
* Assist with underground mapping and sampling.
* Exposure to open pit mine geology, including ore spotting and sampling.
* Develop collaborative working relationships with other departments, contractors, and colleagues.
* Update the database with geological and assay information.
* Undertake geological data validation.
* Ensure effective communication through daily and monthly reporting.
About You
The company is looking for:
* Degree in Geology or related discipline.
* Current WA Driver's License (manual C Class).
* Understanding of the statutory requirements of the Western Australian Mining Act and regulations, and Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act.
* Outstanding attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite.
* Vacation work experience within the mining industry, ideally gold mining, is highly regarded.
