Cooper Commercial Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and capable Project Manager to join our growing commercial construction team, with a strong pipeline of local work across Toowoomba and South East Queensland.
Cooper Commercial maintains an Open license with recent projects spanning medical centres, education facilities, and shopping centre base build and shop fitting works, with many delivered from Development Approval through detailed documentation and design-and-construct execution. This role offers the opportunity to manage diverse, hands-on projects while being supported by owners who are actively involved in the business day to day.

About the Role
As Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to handover, working closely with the Construction Manager, Site Managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist with estimating, programming, and building approvals
* Manage Site Managers and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and programme outcomes
* Define project scope, allocate resources, and monitor progress
* Manage budgets, schedules, variations, and client communication
* Proactively resolve construction, design, and sequencing challenges
* Maintain WHS compliance in line with company systems and legal requirements
About You
* You are self-driven and forward-thinking, taking ownership of outcomes rather than waiting for direction
* You perform best in an environment built on trust and accountability, not micromanagement
* You communicate clearly and confidently with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal team members
* You bring proven project management experience or a strong construction background with the capability and desire to run projects end to end
* You are comfortable managing programmes, budgets, and competing priorities independently
* You are organised, disciplined, and able to plan your workload to meet project outcomes
* You are confident using computers and managing construction documentation
* Solid experience in the commercial building industry is essential
