* Full-time, Salary: $99,938 - $110,271 p.a. plus employer's contribution to superannuation and leave loading

About the role

This role is within the Assessment Division at NESA which is responsible for developing, monitoring and managing the assessment and examination processes for students in NSW.

The Assistant Project Officer, Venue Operations provides a broad range of project management and administrative support activities and leverages extensive business unit knowledge to ensure the operational components of the Higher School Certificate examinations and marking operations are delivered on time and on budget.

The role is responsible for coordination of venues at multiple sites during the HSC period and other activities as required for the operation. It also provides support for, and participates in, procurement activities related to venues and venue infrastructure.

On a day-to-day you will be responsible for:

* Providing project and operational support.
* Monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans.
* Coordinating, supporting and monitoring the set up and pack up of venues including contractor management, venue configuration.
* Planning and overseeing staff in accordance with HSC timelines and quality standards.

To be successful, you will need:

* Proven experience managing sensitive and confidential matters associated with critical examinations.
* Previous experience managing a busy, high-pressure environment and support activities across multiple sites with non-negotiable timelines and limited resources.
* The willingness to work outside of normal business hours and at different metropolitan locations as required.
* Knowledge and experience in procurement, WHS, project management and venue operations.
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
* A valid NSW driver's licence.
