Cloud Network Engineer

The Cloud Network engineer will have a strong background in cloud-based networking concepts, technologies, and solutions, with expertise in managing a variety of network security and optimization tools. This is crucial operations role supporting Network Infrastructure, ensuring reliability, availability, security, and performance.
About the role
3. Configure and manage Firewalls, appliances, and other devices in the network to enforce security policies and optimize network traffic
4. Deploy and manage SD-WAN networks products, optimizing connectivity and performance across distributed locations
5. Monitor and analyse network traffic, performance, and security events, identifying and mitigating potential issues and vulnerabilities
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network architectures that support business requirements and objectives
7. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, providing timely and effective support to end-users and stakeholders
8. Implement and maintain network security controls and protocols to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access
9. Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configurations, ensuring accuracy andpleteness
10. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in cloud-based networking, and make rmendations for continuous improvement
11. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members, fostering professional growth and development
12. Capable of working with multiple programming languages for multiple purposes. Experience in ARM templates, PowerShell and Python and DevOps practices to deploy and manage Infrastructure as code
13. Participate incidents/problems including chairing incident post-mortem activities, apply fixes, resolve systematic issues, and suggest best Industry practices
14. Provide L2/L3 support for services in scope
15. Working a 24x7 on-call roster to support Business-critical systems and major incident escalations outside business hours via on-call roster
16. Provide inputs and reviews to the Design process for cloud-based networking solutions, ensuring high availability, scalability, performance from operational lens
About you
17. Bachelor's degree in IT, preferable major in Networking
18. Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Checkpoint CCSA, Checkpoint CCSE, or Meraki certifications are a plus
19. Framework certifications - ITIL, PRINCE2, COBIT, TOGAF or similar highly desirable
20. Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing Checkpoint Firewalls, Netskope appliances, Azure Firewall, Citrix ADCs, and SD-WAN networks based on Meraki products.
21. Strong understanding of cloud-based networking concepts, architectures, and technologies, including virtual networks, VPNs, load balancers, and DNS.
22. Must have experience with Microsoft Azure cloud. Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (AWS and GCP is a plus).
23. Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
24. Proficiency in network routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and MPLS.
25. Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control.
26. Extensive experience in using the following technologies:
Cisco Routing and Switching Cisco Service Provider networking Cisco SD WAN is a must have. Meraki routing and Switching Meraki Wireless Checkpoint firewall Netskope SSE is a must have. Load balancer - Netscaler, Azure Traffic Manager, Azure Load balancer WAF,DNS, certificate management Experience with Azure DevOps is a must have. Powershell scripting, IaC and Terraform
27. Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyseplex network issues and implement effective solutions
28. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
29. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven attitude
30. Any experience with network security is an advantage
31. Excellent written and verbalmunication skills, interpersonal and consultative skills, and the ability tomunicate concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
