Job Description
* Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with relevant tax, superannuation, and workplace legislation.
* Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
* Respond promptly to payroll-related enquiries from staff and management.
* Assist with preparing payroll reports and reconciliations for internal and external stakeholders.
* Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to ensure proper integration of payroll data.
* Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.
* Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the payroll function.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
* Previous experience in payroll processing, preferably within the Education space
* Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation requirements.
* Proficiency in SYNERGETIC and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
