Career Opportunities: Executive Assistant to the Mayor (3688)

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in the smooth and effective operation of the Office of the Mayor. In this position, you will provide high level executive support, coordination and advice to the Mayor of Ipswich, helping to enable effective leadership across the city.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Manage and prioritise the information needed to support the effective performance of Mayoral duties
* Coach and develop staff to ensure the efficient and professional operation of the Office of the Mayor
* Manage and deliver a broad range of executive administrative, project and research tasks
* Develop and maintain key relationships with government, business, community and internal stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* High level of skill in the provision of executive support and confidential administrative services
* Extensive level of communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective liaison with diverse stakeholders
* Proven ability to manage time and workload effectively, work both autonomously and collaboratively, and maintain strict confidentiality.
* Demonstrated ability to negotiate with trust and diplomacy monitoring actions, services and conflict resolution
* Possess a current Queensland C Class Driver's Licence
* Tertiary qualifications in business, management, administration or a related field is desirable

This is a full time, fixed term position for 12 months, with a salary commencing at $110,838 plus 12.5% superannuation.
