About the Role
Applications are invited for a Specialist in Psychiatry - Addiction Medicine (Fractional) at Alfred Health. The position involves 5.6 hours per week, primarily based in the community addictions program (including South City Clinic), and supports the Consultation Liaison (CL) Addictions team.
Qualifications and Skills Required
* Legally qualified practitioners registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
* Fellowship of the Chapter of Addiction Medicine or Royal Australian College of General Practitioners
* Relevant knowledge and experience in Addiction Medicine and/or Addiction Psychiatry, with over 5 years' experience in caring for patients with complex substance use disorders, including medication-assisted treatment of opiate use disorders
* Meeting Alfred Health credentialing and scope of practice requirements in Addiction Medicine/Addiction Psychiatry
* Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
* Ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels
* Demonstrated flexibility, problem-solving skills, and ability to develop collaborative relationships
