We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist/Guest Services to join our team
A hotel receptionist sets the tone for guests with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor. Greeting visitors and provide an outstanding guest experience.
Seeking a positive, driven and enthusiastic person with a very hands on approach, whom loves a challenge, can work as part of a team and independently .
This role requires confidence - excellent sales and organisational skills with the ability to multi task.
Major Responsibilities:
Hotel Receptionist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
* Manage online and phone reservations
* Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
* Register guests by collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
* Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
* Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
* Manage emails – reply in a timely manner
* Respond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional manner
* Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests' needs
* Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
* Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
* Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
* Update & finalise transactions on guest accounts
* Process Night Audit in accordance with the Night Audit process
* Assist other departments such as F&B or Housekeeping if required
Qualifications:
* Previous front office reception experience in a hospitality, travel or tourism environment would be highly regarded, as would other types of customer facing roles e.g. retail, but not necessary
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer systems
* Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

**The successful applicant must be available to work a range of shifts Monday to Friday, Weekends & Public Holidays, and have entitlements to work in Australia. General shift times will be from 7am-3pm, and from 3pm- 11pm.
