Join Our Growing Team as a Health & Safety Advisor
We are seeking experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our expanding team. This role is an immediate start and on a 4-6 month contract, based in the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone, at the site of the largest wind farm currently under development in Wellington, NSW.
As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following:
* Manage inductions & onboarding process for new internal staff, including safety communications and toolbox talks
* Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies and procedures
* Implement, maintain & update project specific safety plans and SWMS for high risk or value jobs
* Liaise with regulatory authorities on matters of safety regulation and compliance
* Respond to incidents & emergencies, including investigations, reporting & escalation
* Conduct risk assessments, onsite inspections, and audits, investigating any incidents to ensure prompt resolution
* Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators for safety objectives throughout the project lifecycle
* Develop, review, and support construction safety management plans and risk assessments
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive a positive safety culture, through existing inhouse programs, with a strong focus on human performance principles
What do you bring?
In addition to the above, we require an individual with;
* Minimum 5 years' + demonstrated experience and knowledge of health and safety regulations and policies.
* Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Safety Sciences, or equivalent.
* Construction Induction card.
* Cert IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
* Formal qualifications in auditing and investigations
* Knowledge and interpretation of relevant Acts, Regulations, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
* Proficiency in safety management software, including SharePoint and Excel.
* Able to work on a fly in/fly out basis and industry standard work cycle on a DIDO or FIFO 21:7 roster
