About the Role

Part time - 30 hours per week

Ward 5B is a 32 bedded Private Surgical Ward catering to the local community of the Northern Beaches in Sydney. Specialties include Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery. We support continuing education for all staff through our education department and have clinical nurse educators on the ward. We are looking for talented AIN's to join our team ASAP!

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties.
• Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters.
• Assess patients using therapeutic skills.
• Answer patient/visitor/customer enquiries.

Essential Criteria

• Certificate III/IV (from an approved training provider) in Community and Health Services, Personal Carer, or equivalent.
• Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing desired.
