Legal Administrator
Melton City Council is seeking a skilled Legal Administrator to join our dedicated Legal and Property Team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide confidential administrative legal support services, including maintaining accurate records, preparing correspondence and legal documentation, and answering incoming subpoenas.
* Process Legal Services and Freedom of Information requests, making decisions in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 and Council policies.
* Contribute to policy development, prepare and implement procedures as required, and undertake legal research and analysis on various issues.
About You:
* A tertiary qualification in legal administration or significant experience in a paralegal role is highly desirable.
* Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
