We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef.
A person who is currently in a similar role or an experienced Chef looking to step up and take on a new challenge. The right person must be self-motivated, able to lead by example and operate the kitchen under the Executive Chef's guidance.
Someone who has a firm understanding of costs in all aspects of the kitchen, effective in apprentice development and can maintain high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen.
Successful candidates will possess the following attributes:
* All round kitchen skills
* A strong work ethic
* Must be energetic, reliable and positive with the ability to work well in a team
* The ability to adapt quickly in a fast paced environment
Key responsibilities:
* Assist in the guidance of Apprentices
* Maintain a food safe environment and be responsible for ensuring food safe practices are adhered to by all kitchen staff
* To enhance the continued high level of product knowledge and seasonality.
* Collaborate with the executive chef in the development of recipes and menus.
