About the Role
Enerven is seeking an Automation Team Lead to join its design team and lead the delivery of some of Australia's most significant renewable energy infrastructure projects. This exciting portfolio includes the 480MWh Summerfield BESS in South Australia, the 500MW Liddell BESS, the 2.8GWh Eraring BESS, and the 500kV Goulburn River Solar Farm connection in New South Wales where Enerven is delivering the critical infrastructure needed to drive Australia's renewable energy transition.
Your Responsibilities
* Manage the Automation Engineering team resourcing by co-ordinating internally and with external parties for resourcing projects.
* Lead the development and delivery of processes, procedures and templates to improve the efficiency and quality of the Automation Engineering team output.
* Work with the broader engineering and delivery team to mitigate delivery risks associated with the Automation Engineering discipline.
* Maintain strong relationships with other Enerven Engineering discipline leads, delivery teams and external resources.
* Identify competencies of engineers within the Automation Engineering team, upskilling and resourcing as required for internal design capabilities and capacity.
* Lead, recruit, train and mentor engineers with support of the senior engineers within the team.
* Bid & Commercial – Providing technical engineering advice you will make sound decisions based on technical, commercial, and contractual requirements and work with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
You will have a strong background in Automation or Control Systems Engineering and proven ability to lead a team of engineers. Exposure to substations and HV installations is highly desirable.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering (CPEng is desirable)
* Demonstrated experience in a similar position within the electrical or relevant industry
