Electrical Supervisor
We are seeking a seasoned electrical professional to oversee maintenance activities for heavy mobile equipment at one of Queensland's largest mining operations. This is a permanent position offering stability, a market-competitive salary, and the opportunity to lead in a high-performing and safety-focused environment.
As part of a 7/7 day-night roster, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with all statutory and company standards, driving team performance across site-based HME fleets, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate all electrical maintenance activities on HME to ensure safety, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
* Provide leadership and technical support to electricians and trades personnel, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard.
* Plan and schedule electrical maintenance tasks in line with operational priorities.
* Ensure all documentation, reporting, and statutory compliance records are accurately maintained.
* Identify and implement innovative solutions to reduce downtime and enhance equipment performance.
* Build strong, respectful relationships with other departments and external contractors.
Requirements:
* Electrical Trade Qualification with current Queensland Electrical License.
* Significant experience supervising electrical maintenance teams on Heavy Mobile Equipment.
* Strong working knowledge of mining mobile plant systems including trucks, shovels, excavators, and ancillary equipment.
* Demonstrated track record in leading teams with a focus on safety, reliability, and cost control.
* High level of computer literacy including maintenance planning systems and Microsoft Office.
* Current Mining Supervisor – G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1, S2, S3).
* Current Carry Out the Risk Management Process – G2 (RIIRIS402D).
* Current Queensland Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain).
* Current Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain).
