About the role
In the role of Senior Internal Communications and Engagement Advisor (Corporate Publications), you will lead the coordination, development and delivery of the department's Annual Report and other corporate reporting, ensuring accuracy, quality and compliance with NSW Treasury and statutory requirements.
The role provides authoritative advice to senior executives, coordinates reporting inputs across the department, and ensures corporate reporting is consistent, timely and aligned with organisational priorities. The role also develops, manages and delivers internal communications plans and content, provides strategic internal communications advice and services and manages internal communications channels.
Some of the key accountabilities of the role include –
* Lead the end-to-end coordination and delivery of the department's Annual Report, including planning, governance, timelines, quality assurance and final production.
* Act as the central point of coordination for annual reporting inputs, liaising with stakeholders to gather, validate and finalise content and data, and coordinate internal and external contributors (including design, publishing and assurance providers) to support on time and high-quality delivery.
* Develop and manage a range of high quality, impactful internal communications and engagement channels, tools, materials, events and collateral.
* Provide strategic advice and guidance to leaders, partners and stakeholders in articulating and communicating key messages to employees and to help them build strong engagement across their teams and the department through effective top-down and bottom-up leadership and staff communications.
* Provide input and contribute to the development of impactful and targeted collateral, including drafting, reviewing and editing content in emails, departmental newsletters, leader messages and intranet stories to ensure communications effectively convey key messages to varied audiences and are tailored to suit relevant channels.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have –
* Tertiary qualifications in Communications or a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.
* Demonstrated experience delivering publications and communications materials and reports that meet regulatory and policy requirements and effectively engage staff and external stakeholders to meet department objectives.
* Demonstrated experience in implementing new publications, communications and reporting techniques to achieve governance, impact and audience accessibility requirements.
