The Opportunity
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is a hands‑on drafting role where you'll turn engineering concepts into workshop‑ready drawings that are built in real life. Using SolidWorks, you'll produce 3D models and detailed fabrication and installation drawings for skid packages, pipework layouts, fabricated assemblies and integrated equipment - supporting projects across water and wastewater systems.
You'll also support key project deliverables by drafting and updating P&IDs and process drawings, ensuring documentation stays accurate from design through to commissioning.
Your Responsibilities
* Produce accurate 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks
* Prepare fabrication, assembly, installation and general arrangement drawings
* Draft and update P&IDs / process drawings and maintain project documentation
* Develop and maintain BOMs and drawing register
* Interpret engineering mark‑ups and deliver workshop‑ready designs
* Work with engineers and the workshop team to ensure designs are practical and buildable
* Maintain strong revision control and contribute to drafting standards/templates
Your Skills & Qualifications
* Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (models, assemblies, drawings, BOMs)
* Minimum 1‑2 years of SolidWorks experience is required
* Proven experience producing detailed fabrication / installation drawings
* Ability to draft/update P&IDs / PFDs (AutoCAD experience preferred)
* Strong understanding of drafting standards (dimensions, tolerances, fit)
* High attention to detail and disciplined document control
* Confident communicator able to collaborate with engineering + workshop teams
* Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects and deadlines
* Exposure to water/wastewater, skid builds or process equipment (desirable)
* Australian work rights are required for this position
