Job Title: IT Systems Administrator
This is a key role within our technology department, focusing on maintaining a reliable and secure environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting across desktops, networks, hardware, and software systems. They will act as an escalation point for the Desktop Support/Helpdesk team and diagnose and resolve issues by running tests, isolating faults, and implementing long-term solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
* Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting across desktops, networks, hardware, and software systems.
* Escalation Point: Act as an escalation point for the Desktop Support/Helpdesk team.
* Incident Management: Diagnose and resolve issues by running tests, isolating faults, and implementing long-term solutions.
* Network Administration: Configure and maintain network switches, VLANs, wireless access points (WAPs), and related network infrastructure.
* System Upgrades: Plan and execute system and network upgrades or rollouts.
* Server Support: Support server infrastructure as a secondary responsibility, ensuring continuity across critical systems.

About You - Skills & Experience:
* Experience in a Systems Administrator or similar infrastructure role.
* Background in network administration (WAN, VLANs, WAPs, patching, switches, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
* Solid understanding of server technologies including Hyper‑V, clustering, storage and virtualisation.
* Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments.
* Experienced with hybrid Active Directory environments, Group Policies, and Microsoft 365 administration.
* Familiarity with Azure and hybrid cloud platforms.
* Comfortable working within ITIL‑aligned processes.
* Hands‑on experience with SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
* Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Current driver's licence and personal vehicle, with the ability to travel between local sites when needed.
