The Business
This is an established Australian business operating in a fast-moving, high-volume environment with a broad SKU portfolio and a strong focus on customer service. With recent change across the supply chain function, the business is investing in strengthening its planning capability to support growth, improve visibility, and reduce risk across inventory and inbound supply. The team is hands-on, collaborative, and based on site in Western Sydney, working closely with Procurement, Sales, and Warehouse teams.
The Role
The Supply Planner will step into a critical role, taking ownership of day-to-day supply planning to ensure product availability and service levels are maintained. Working with ERP-derived data and spreadsheet-based planning tools, you will manage inventory levels, replenishment cycles, and inbound supply across a large SKU range. The focus is on stabilising the plan, identifying gaps and risks ahead of time, and communicating clearly with Sales and internal stakeholders when changes occur. Once stability is achieved, there is scope to improve processes, strengthen planning discipline, and bring more structure to how supply risk is managed.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have proven experience in supply planning, inventory planning, or a closely related role within FMCG, wholesale, or a similar environment. You are comfortable working in Excel rather than relying on fully mature planning systems and can think beyond the immediate horizon to anticipate issues weeks or months ahead. Strong communication skills are essential, particularly when working with Sales and Procurement under pressure. You are practical, detail-driven, and confident steadying a complex portfolio in a fast-paced setting.
