About the role
UPL Solar is seeking a skilled and experienced Solar Roofer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is vital in supporting our growth as we expand our solar energy projects across the Canberra region. As a Solar Roofer, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of solar panels on residential and commercial rooftops, ensuring a high-quality and efficient solar energy solution for our customers.
What you'll be doing
1. Safely installing solar panels and associated electrical components on customer roofs
2. Conducting inspections and maintenance on existing solar systems
3. Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues with solar panel installations
4. Providing excellent customer service and communicating with clients throughout the installation process
5. Adhering to all health, safety and quality control procedures
6. Collaborating with the wider installation team to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience as a Solar Roofer or similar role in the renewable energy industry
2. Strong knowledge of solar panel installation techniques, electrical systems and safety protocols
3. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
5. Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
6. Relevant trade qualifications or certification in roofing, electrical or renewable energy
