Andrew Peace Wines is a large family owned winery and agriculture business with a focus on exports. Located in Piangil (North Western Victoria) with over 500 Ha of established vineyards in Piangil and surrounding areas, we are currently seeking Experienced Cellar Hands to support our winemaking operations by maintaining the high standards we are known for. You'll be part of a tight-knit crew, working across a wide mix of cellar activities.
What You'll Do
You'll work closely with our winemaking and production teams to complete a variety of cellar operations, including:
* Filtration processes: centrifuge, earth, pad, rotary vacuum, and crossflow
* Chemical processes such as ion exchange
* Barrel work, including handling, rackings, transfers, and blending
* Bulk wine dispatch and receival
* Additions to wines as directed
* Crush and press operations during vintage
* Operating pumps, machinery, and general winery equipment
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
* Assisting with broader production tasks as needed
What You Bring
* No formal qualifications required
* Prior winery experience is welcome but not essential—full training provided
* Eligibility to undertake a Certificate III in Wine Industry Operations (optional)
* Ability to safely lift and carry up to 20 kg
* Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces
* A reliable, safety-focused work ethic
* Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays during peak periods
Work Environment
This is a physical, hands-on role based at Piangil Winery. You'll be working indoors and outdoors, across varied temperatures, and around machinery, confined spaces, and chemicals—so a strong commitment to safe work practices is essential.
