About the Opportunity This is not your typical compliance role. At MANAWISE, governance, quality and reporting are enablers of safer services, stronger outcomes, and thriving communities. We’re seeking a strategic, values-driven General Manager Compliance and Reporting to lead governance, risk, compliance, quality, audit and reporting across MANAWISE Care, MANAWISE Education and MANAWISE People. Reporting directly to the Deputy CEO and working as part of the Executive Management Team, you’ll translate complex regulatory environments into practical, high-performing systems. You’ll ensure our organisation operates with integrity, transparency and confidence—while empowering teams to deliver consistently excellent, safe and compliant services. What You’ll Do • Provide executive leadership across governance, compliance, quality, risk, assurance and reporting functions • Develop and embed organisation-wide frameworks, systems and reporting cycles aligned to regulatory and contractual obligations • Lead compliance across diverse sectors including child protection, NDIS, aged care, mental health, education, housing and employment services • Oversee accreditation, audit and assurance activities, ensuring readiness and continuous improvement • Design and implement internal audit, risk, incident and complaints frameworks • Strengthen data governance, reporting and performance insights to support decision-making • Deliver high-quality executive, Board and regulatory reporting • Partner with regulators, auditors, funders and stakeholders to maintain trust and transparency • Support leaders to embed compliance into everyday practice across all service areas • Build and lead a high-performing team focused on quality, accountability and continuous improvement What You Bring • Proven executive or senior leadership experience in governance, compliance, quality, audit or risk in complex human services environments • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks across child safe organisations, NDIS, aged care, education, mental health and related sectors • Demonstrated ability to translate complex requirements into practical systems and improvements • Advanced experience in internal audit, risk management, incident and complaints oversight • Strong data governance and reporting capability, including executive dashboards and insights • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working with regulators, auditors and senior leaders • Strategic, analytical and calm under pressure, with excellent judgement and integrity • A values-led approach with a commitment to safety, accountability and community impact Essential Requirements • Relevant tertiary qualifications (governance, law, business, public policy, human services or related field) • Postgraduate qualifications (highly regarded) • Current Driver’s Licence • Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain • National Police Check • Relevant certifications in governance, risk, audit or quality (desirable) Why Join MANAWISE? • Step into a critical executive leadership role with organisation-wide influence • Shape and build governance, compliance and reporting systems across a growing group • Work alongside a passionate and purpose-driven Executive Team • Hybrid work arrangements with a Brisbane Head Office base • Professional development and leadership growth opportunities • Play a key role in improving outcomes for children, families and communities About Us MANAWISE is committed to creating connected, caring and thriving communities.
