We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Specialist to join our team in Canberra. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security architecture and be able to provide expert advice on Essential Eight strategies, cloud security settings, and adherence to Information Security Manual controls.
About the Role
As an IT Security Advisor, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining ICT security policies, plans, and training. You will also be responsible for providing expert security advice for new technology solutions and creating system authorization documents and security risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain ICT security policies, plans, and training.
* Provide expert security advice for new tech solutions.
* Create system authorization docs and security risk assessments.
* Assist in investigations, audits, and innovative solutions.
* Enhance disaster recovery and continuity plans.
* Monitor and bolster network security.
Requirements
* Strong technical knowledge of Active Directory.
* Good understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (ISM, NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
* Working with Azure/AWS cloud, particularly from a security perspective.
* Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
